Phase 2 Training in Gabon

The Project 35 CBRN is a project funded by the European Commission Directorate General for Development and Cooperation (DG DEVCO) in the context of CBRN Centres of Excellence (CoE) with the aim to improve the management of chemicals and hazardous biological waste in 8 countries partners in the region.


After an introduction marked by great emotion because of the resumption of module 1 after its dramatic break in October 2015 following the death of Gilles REVOIL in Libreville, a minute of silence was observed at the initiative of Mr. responsible for the national Focal Point (NFP), Jean Maurice Ayine, members of the national support team and participants of the October 2015 session. 


The same room at the Hotel Boulevard Libreville, has served as a framework for the training which added to our thoughts to Gilles and his family. 


The objectives of this training in 4 modules were recalled opening of the session: 

Train trainers 

After presenting the management requirements in the module 1 and the technical requirements in the Module 3, students will be placed in the position of consultants to provide their knowledge in the modules 2 and 4. 


Topics covered:

• included Knowing the context of the ISO / IEC 17025

• Understand the differences between certification and accreditation

• Get an overview of the standard

• Know the structure ISO 17025

• Understand the spirit and letter of the standard

• Know how to start and maintain a management system



Module 1 is held over 3 days between 8 and 10 March 2016, the turnout was good and the course was well received. 


This project is managed by the Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policy (FIIAPP) based in Madrid, Spain.
